Southern Aid
Southern AID commissioned ECOSLINK to undertake the end-year Monitoring and Evaluation of Southern AID Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project in Northern Kenya. Specifically, the project areas of Wajir South and Wajir North, Wajir County in 2016.
PACJA - UON
ECOSLINK team was involved in a Climate change governance study by University of Nairobi and Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) in selected Counties of Kenya. The objective of the task was to assess successes, challenges and opportunities in addressing climate change in the country. The study produced a report titled: Climate change Governance Study in Kenya’s devolved Governments, 2018
Grid - Arendal
ECOSLINK team Provided technical support to GRID-ARENDAL in their study aimed at; Documenting the challenges and opportunities in addressing Water and Sanitation related issues in Nairobi County. Specifically, the study involved the Nairobi river and surrounding communities within Nairobi County.
Oxfam & Wasda
ECOSLINK team in partnership with IREC Consultancy Firm was commissioned by OXFAM and WASDA to undertake Post monitoring and evaluation of OXFAM and WASDA Cash for Work (CFW) projects in Lower Juba region in Somalia.
NDC Partnership - Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP)
ECOSLINK team was involved in the NDC Partnership’s Climate Action Enhancement Package (CAEP) research project aimed at revising the Federal Government of Somalia’s NDC process in line with the Paris Agreement. The study produced three reports, specifically NDC Financing Strategy, NDC Costing Report and Sustainable Development and Macro-Economic Benefits of Somalia’s NDC Report.
Latest & Ongoing Projects
ECOSLINK team was involved in the development of a Five Year National Environment and Strategy Action Plan (NESAP) 2021-2025 for the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change (DoECC), Federal Government of Somalia. The NESAP 2021-2024 was informed by Somalia’s priority environment and climate change agenda.
ECOSLINK team undertook the Biennial Update Report (BUR1) commissioned by the Federal Government of Somalia in line with UNFCCC requirements. Specifically, the assignment involved the development of a Measurement, Report and Verification (MRV) system and an MRV chapter of Somalia’s First Biennial Update Report.
UNEP DTU PARTNERSHIP commissioned ECOSLINK team to undertake Technology Needs Assessments (TNA) for the Federal Government of Somalia involving Climate Change Adaptation in the agricultural/livestock and water sectors
